Drooping eyebrows. Sad, tired or angry look. Small or constricted eyes. Horizontal forehead wrinkles.
Several techniques for brow lifting are available and the technique used depends on several anatomic factors. Dr. Roberts uses the endoscopic technique almost exclusively. The endoscopic technique is less invasive than traditional brow lift surgery, with smaller incisions and scars, and a more rapid recovery.
The brow lift procedure is done under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation, and you can go home shortly after surgery is completed. A small drain is placed which is removed the morning after surgery. This drain helps minimize swelling and speeds up recovery. A pressure dressing is also placed which is removed the next morning. Sutures or staples close the incision and are removed at 1 week. Activity should be limited for 1 week. Bruising and swelling are usually resolved by 7 days.
By the end of the first week, you will see a more awake looking you, with higher eyebrows and more open eyes. By the end of the first month, as swelling has resolved, the brow settles into its new position and looks more natural.
Dr. Roberts puts over 12 years of experience in every brow lift procedure. Dr. Roberts takes great pride and time to help provide natural, healthy results for each individual patient.
